As a member of FirstOntario Credit union for over 20 years and lifelong resident of Oakville, I had the privilege of beginning my professional career in Ontario’s cooperative banking sector. More recently I have held leadership positions within Ontario’s healthcare system and currently serve as Chairperson of a community-based agency in the addiction and concurrent disorders sector.

Having focused the later part of my profession working in Ontario’s healthcare system, I am interested in reconnecting with the cooperative banking sector and sharing the experience I’ve gained in my career by serving on the FirstOntario Credit Union Board of Directors.

What can you specifically contribute to the Board?

• Over twenty years of work experience within for profit and not for profit sectors across financial and health care industries, including charitable organizations
• Governance experience as board member and Chairperson
• Understanding of the cooperative banking sector gained by working at Credit Union of Ontario (Central 1) for over 10 years
• Track record of establishing long lasting relationships with many different stakeholder groups across the province, Canada, and Internationally
• Experienced public speaker recognized for strong interpersonal, analytical, strategic and change management skills
• Outstanding ability to convert abstract concepts into executable strategies, interface with and motivate all levels to ensure goals are attained; Excels where the ability to align multiple interests and leadership skills are key to success
