I have been a member of FirstOntario Credit Union for 45 years, starting with depositing my earnings from my paper route. My passion for the Credit Union system has led me to become a Director of FirstOntario, then Chair of the Deposit Insurance Corporation of Ontario, responsible for regulating and providing deposit insurance to the Credit Union System. My Director skills have matured just like FirstOntario. I believe a $5B organization requires Directors with a broad range of skills and over the last 45 years, I have acquired those skills.

My other Board experience includes hydro, hospital, public and private companies. These appointments, coupled with my business background and academics (Engineering, MBA, C. Dir.), have equipped me to be financially literate, with in-depth knowledge of the financial services, technology, credit union and regulatory arenas. I want to give back and now have the time to do so.
