I am seeking your support for re-election to the Board of Directors of FirstOntario Credit Union. I have been a credit union Member in the Niagara Region for over 35 years and am a strong supporter of the credit union’s values, commitment to its employees, and dedication to serving its communities in the regions of Niagara, Hamilton, Halton and Haldimand-Norfolk.

What can you specifically contribute to the Board?

I served FirstOntario’s Board of Directors from 2010 to 2019. In that time, I expanded on my experience in governance including strategic planning and risk management. I also developed my leadership skills by serving as the Chair of both the Elections Committee and the Corporate Social Responsibility Committee. This afforded me the opportunity to not only contribute but also lead the direction of our thriving credit union.

Understanding ongoing changes from financial regulators, the political landscape, and world events demands ongoing education to ensure that Directors are educated and prepared to make decisions that ensure the credit union’s policies and practices are current.
